Bnei Arazim

Children Treatment Center
in memory of Dr. Itzhak Blank

Dr. Blank’s Perspective

“Children are very strong. They can deal with illness, poverty, and wars, but they cannot bear weak adults whose job is to protect them.

Parents should be a child’s god.

When they lose their status, the child’s anxiety grows and morbid symptoms develop”.

Our Graduates Tell Their Stories

Our beloved Mika Kam summarizes two and a half years at Bnei Arazim. In her speech, she talks about the process and the difficulties she experienced before coming to us, the meeting with Dr. Blank, her way at school and in the boarding school, and her amazing transformation. Now she’s on her road to independence, with a rich toolbox and a full matriculation certificate! We’re proud of you and love you!

“I too want to tell my story about Bnei Arazim” – charming Liri shares her journey at Bnei Arazim. Her arrival in a wheelchair, the meeting with Dr. Blank, the rehabilitation process until walking on her own, and the faith of the boarding school that accompanied her throughout the way and did not give up on her, not even for a moment. We love you and wish you lots of luck!

Bnei Arazim Facilities

“There is not enough time or space to express even a little of our gratitude to a brave, rare woman, a manager, an educator, Doctor Shula Blank”.

About Bnei Arazim

The Bnei Arazim Center’s overarching objective is to completely prevent recurring psychiatric hospitalizations, especially of adolescents under the age of 18, to design a suitable horizon for every youngster, and to integrate them into the community. The rate of prevention of psychiatric hospitalizations of teenage boys and girls who before being admitted to Bnei Arazim suffered from the “revolving door” phenomenon in psychiatric wards is nearly 100%. This rate of success among the population treated in the Center is unique in the State of Israel and exceptional also in international terms.

The Bnei Arazim Center has a unique therapeutic doctrine whose main principles are as follows: daily physical activities, studies, work on boundaries, intensive work with parents and rehabilitation of the parental authority, reinforcement of the values of volunteer work, and integration into the community. The children have a busy schedule of studies, various after-school sports activities, diverse enrichment programs, volunteer work in the community, and individual and group therapy sessions.
